Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains how cancellations, plan changes and refunds work for the Cotnek platform, operated by Cotnek Technologies. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Cancelling your subscription

• You can cancel at any time from Billing → Manage payment & invoices in the app, or by emailing support@cotnek.com from your account email.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for (the current month, or the current year on a yearly plan). You will not be charged again.
• After the paid period ends, your workspace data is kept for 90 days in case you return, then deleted.

Free trial. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Your card is saved at checkout but nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the plan price shown at checkout is charged automatically and then renews every month or year until you cancel. We email you a reminder 3 days before the first charge. Cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged at all. One free trial per customer.

3. Changing plans

• Upgrades (and monthly → yearly) take effect immediately. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period; the unused part of your old plan is credited against it.
• Downgrades (and yearly → monthly) take effect immediately. The unused part of your current plan is credited to your next invoice — it is not paid back to your card.

4. Refunds

Subscription fees, including yearly plans, and AI credit packs are non-refundable, including for partially used periods or unused credits, except:

• where UAE consumer protection law or other applicable law requires a refund;
• if you were charged in error (for example a duplicate charge) — we refund the incorrect amount in full; or
• if we terminate your account without cause — we refund the unused part of the current paid period.

To report a billing error, email support@cotnek.com within 30 days of the charge with the invoice details. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

5. AI credit packs

Credit packs are one-time purchases. Purchased credits do not expire while your account is active, are used after your monthly credits, have no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged, except as described in section 4.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we retry automatically over several days and notify you in the app. If it still fails, the plan may be cancelled; your data is then kept for 90 days.
